First ever SRU ice hockey golf outing
This summer, the slippery rock ice hockey team will be hosting its first ever golf outing at Birds Foot golf course in Kittaning, PA. The golf outing will be held on Sunday, August 25th and will be running all day. The fee is 100$ a person and it includes; 18 holes, golf cart, tees, SRU ice hockey golf towel, free drinks on the course, food at the turn, dinner afterwards at the club house, and not to mention raffles and prizes that will be given away throughout the day. Contest such as longest drive, closest to the pin, closest to the green, etc will also be held on the course. It should be a great day and all proceeds go to the SRU ice hockey team fees, as you know we are a club sport so we support ourselves, so fundraising money is very important for us to use in our team fees. It is the day before classes start so if you are interested in playing some golf and having a good time come on out and support your hockey team!

The Arc Gym
The gym at the ARC is very nice, don't get me wrong but is it me or is it always crowded?! Anytime I go there its like there are so many people you can not even get onto a machine or anything. I have heard that if you go earlier in the day it is much less crowded, but my schedule does not always work around that, which is frustrating. I wish they would maybe add on to the gym and maybe make it a little bit bigger? Although, I do live at the heights and for anyone else that does you know they offer a free workout facility. Yeah, it is very small but barely any people are ever in there so I actually find it more beneficial to go there a lot of the times, at least you can get a workout in! Does anyone else feel the same way about the ARC?
